Fall Fling

Join Smitty, Dale and friends for a weekend of fun, relaxation … and whatever you want/need it to be!!!
October 18 ~ 21, 2018

In previous years, this has been known as the Girl’s Cruise, but this year we’ve opened it up to hubbies! (But if you still just want to bring a girlfriend, that’s TOTALLY fine too!) So basically, this is open to everyone!

This will be a 3-night cruise on the

Carnival Imagination

The fun begins when you board the Carnival Imagination, your home for the next three days. On Thursday, the ship will be docked at the Port of Long Beach, right next to the iconic Queen Mary! (and if you haven’t done a tour of her yet, plan to arrive a little early to do so OR you might even think about coming down the night before and spend the night – she is truly worth seeing!!!)IMG_6105.JPG

Once you are on board, you can have lunch on the Lido deck (it’s included!), check out your cabin (after 2pm), explore the ship, make your spa appointments, enjoy an umbrella drink at the pool or find friends and … ???

DiningFun copyDinner is always full of fun and entertainment, whether it be your waiter or tablemates, so be sure to bring your camera to the dining room! (… and remember, dining at all of the restaurants is included in your cruise fare).

After dinner, there are always numerous entertainment options, depending on what you want to do – the many lounges and public areas offer a variety of performer(s), a broadway type show might be happening in the Theatre or you might want to make a spa appointment!

Day two animalWhen you return to your cabin that night, you will find the Carnival “Fun Times,” with the listings of ALL of the next day’s activities … and maybe a new friend???

FRIDAY – At Sea – Today you have all day to do … whatever you want (within reason of course). This might mean meeting friends at the pool or hot tub, getting a massage, play miniature golf, catch one of the many classes or activities onboard or just grab your book and head up to the Serenity Area (Adults only area) – it’s all up to you!

Tonight will also be ‘dress up’ night so plan to bring something a little fancier to wear to dinner (and fancy means whatever you think is fancy) … and if you don’t want to get dressed up, you can always order room service or simply enjoy the buffet on the Lido deck (This is Carnival, so they reallly do NOT enforce it… at all!!)

SATURDAY – Ensenada – Today we will be in port, so you might want to do a shore excursion out to La Buffadore (one of the world’s few Blow Holes), do some wine tasting, go horseback riding … OR just stay onboard and enjoy the pool and do nothing (TIP: There are often discounted spa specials during port days too!).

SUNDAY – Disembarkationtion – The ship pulls into port at 7 a.m. and then it will be time to go back to reality… sigh

… Picking out your cabin!

The cruise fares cited below are based on double occupancy (2 people per cabin) and the price includes your cabin, meals and the ship’s entertainment (but of course, what happens on a cruise stays on a cruise, right?). Not included (but available for a nominal fee) are spa treatments, various beverage packages (such as Cheers! or Bottomless Bubbles), casino activity (when at sea), shopping AND the chance to kick back and party with new and seasoned friends!

AND, because you are a part of our group, there will be some additional amenities included, such as an onboard credit!

Cabin Choices

There are two cabin options: Ocean View Cabins or Interior Cabins. Prices quoted are for double occupancy – solo, triple and quad cabins are also available at a slightly different price – just ask for a quote!

Ocean View Cabin

Ocean View Cabins are all the same size and come with the same amenities, but what differs is ‘where’ they are on the ship – The higher the deck and the closer to mid-ship, the higher the price, so we have selected the 6C Ocean View category, which are on the Main Deck (5), midship or the Upper Deck (6), forward or aft.

Required Taxes and Port Charges will be charged at $81.50 per person. Travel Insurance, at just $49 per person, will also be added. You can ‘opt out’ of the insurance, but I must have that in writing.

6C Ocean View Cabin – $324.00 pp, based on double occupancy

Interior Cabins

Interior Cabins are also the same sizes and with the same amenities as the Ocean View cabins and, as with the Ocean View cabins, the price reflects the placement on the ship. We have picked the 4C Interior cabins, which are on the Main Deck (5), midship or Upper Deck (6), forward or aft.

Required Taxes and Port Charges will be charged at $81.50 per person. Travel Insurance, at just $49 per person, will also be added. You can ‘opt out’ of the insurance, but I must have that in writing.

4C Interior Cabin – $279.00 pp, based on double occupancy

Triple or Quad Cabins

To turn any of these cabins (either Ocean View or Interior cabin) into a triple or quad, the 3rd or 4th person would just pay $99, plus the same taxes and port charges of $81.50 and the insurance would be the same $49 as well (Most people just take the total and divide it three ways).

SOOOOO figure out who you want to be your roommate (hubby or girlfriend you need to spend some time with), decide whether you want an Ocean View or Interior Cabin, then simply fill out the form below and email it to me!

About now you might be asking yourself, “What about balconies?” Because this is an older ship, there are only a few balcony cabins on this ship, listed as Grand and Junior Suites, which means they are not eligible for our group pricing. However, I’m happy to get you a quote – it will be priced at the prevailing rate at the time of booking.

HOW TO BOOK “Fall Fling”

  1. You and your roommate(s) will need to fill out My Booking Form (one per cabin). Email the completed form to me: VacationDiva2@charter.net (or just call me at (805) 550-5636 and I can take the information down over the phone.)
  2. I will get your cabin booked in one of the cabins reserved for the Fall Fling (please indicate if there is another cabin you would like to be near) and send you the confirmation via email.
  3. You will have a few days to review it (make sure your names are spelled correctly OR get back to me if  changes need to be made).
  4. Once everything looks good and I have you and your roommate(s) approval via email, then I will call you for your credit card information.
  5. At that time, a refundable deposit of $150 per person ($300 per cabin) will be due – that will secure your cabin until the final payment is due, which won’t be until August 20, 2018.

So talk to your hubbie OR call your friends (especially those you haven’t seen in awhile) and see how many of them you can get to come along! The more the merrier!!!
